As the regulatory environment becomes more sophisticated, there is an increased need for resource management plans that address potential interactions between our clients' projects and the environment. New FERC licenses will typically include a requirement to implement plans to manage recreation resources, historic properties, invasive species, botanical resources, and aquatic resources. State regulators may also have water quality related plans or other requirements. Development of these plans require close coordination between the client, technical resources, and state, federal and tribal agencies. Moreover, they are increasingly being developed concurrently to settlement agreements or submittal of permit/license applications. Long View assists our clients in identifying which plans are needed and managing their development with the client’s technical resources and the agencies. This will also often involve exacting coordination with the development of settlement agreements and larger comprehensive license applications.
