NEPA Documentation & ESA Consultation

Long View has direct experience implementing the requirements of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), from issues scoping through the preparation of Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) and Environmental Assessments (EA), including all associated process requirements. In addition to the process aspects of the NEPA process, staff members have a range of technical backgrounds that allow them to prepare resource-specific descriptions of affected environments and environmental effects, as well as explanations of proposed protection, mitigation, and enhancement measures.

Working as part of a team of third-party contractors, Long View staff members have prepared a number of resource-specific portions of EAs and EISs as part of FERC hydropower licensing. Long View staff members also have experience conducting and documenting compliance with Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act, and have drafted process and technical sections of Biological Assessments in the context of FERC licensing.
