FERC Hydropower Regulations

Long View's direct experience with FERC licensing, permitting, and license amendment, as well as license compliance and implementation under Part 5 of the Federal Power Act, has produced a staff that is well versed in assisting clients meet the requirements of FERC's regulations as they pertain to these processes.

Long View has assisted clients in implementing FERC's Integrated, Traditional, and Alternative licensing processes and understands their respective regulatory frameworks, including the subtleties of regulations as they pertain to:

defining document content;
study scoping, planning, and execution;
required timelines;
consultation requirements;
and document filing specifications.

In addition to FERC's requirements, Long View staff members also understand and can provide guidance related to ancillary regulatory processes, such as certification under Section 401 of the Clean Water Act or consultation conducted to satisfy the requirements of sections 7 and 10 of the Endangered Species Act.
